about bri

Bri’s classes aim to ignite a deep inner exploration of the self through embodied movement. She encourages her students to explore both the physical and energetic alignment of asana through the breath linked movements. She strongly believes that yoga is a practice that happens off of the mat and in the world, and the physical practice is a way of cultivating the tools necessary to live a life of alignment and connection. She draws inspiration from both her teachers and students, as well as a number of other art forms, and most importantly the rhythms of nature. Bri’s hope for holding space is to be an instrument through which creativity and authentic expression flow.

Bri began teaching classes at 19, five years after finding her practice during a very challenging time as a young teen. She completed her 200 RYT at BODY of Santa fe with mentors Josh Schrei and Shawn Parell. Her 500 YTT was ccompeltred in the Integrated Heart training with mentors Shawn Parell and Sean Teabor. Following her 500 she completed a 200 YTT certificate with Shiva Rae through the Prana Vinyasa Global School of Living Yoga where she still continues to study.

ABOUT DARIAN

Darian grew up in an environment that embraced the value in both prayer and meditation. She began her yoga practice when she was 11 years old and quickly learned the power in blending movement with a meditative mental state. Darian was also captivated by the shapes that can be created through holding postures, allowing our human existence to mimic statuesque art sculptures. As an occupational therapist, Darian began to see yoga as a pathway to enhance one’s mind-body connection, promote an increased sense of embodiment, and increase a feeling of calmness in the body, allowing nervous system regulation to occur. A calm and regulated nervous system is one of the most powerful and important things we can offer our physical, emotional, and energetic bodies. Darian’s goal is to guide each person within their individual practice to find movement, positions, and isometric static postures that help one to feel safe, strong, and confident in and connected to their body
